Both strategies confirmed again tonight by Ark, Pesst, and myself. Ended up with 3 Superior Thirds and a symbol dropped.

thats hardly a challenge then =) but i freely admit the way the challenge is written is near impossible without a warden.

so you just think skinny on the walkways then engage the boss when hes up then kill all the birds then him?....not a challenge at all IMO

Theory has been tested. Once the boss is Aggro'd you can kill the birds and then kill the boss and Hard Mode is achieved.

I think that the last time we went in, a couple days ago, we DPSed the boss while someone kited the birds around.

Yeah, everytime I do it with a warden it goes fine also. I'd like to think that you dont need a warden to complete this.

And according to the above official forum linked post it seems that challenge mode is:
1. Activate boss.
2. Kill birds.
3. Kill boss.

According to everyone responding.

Those post do make a bit of since and would make this fight a little easier though I haven't had any problem running it with Wolfmaid and Tocanis.

I would diffidently be up for trying to kill the birds once the boss is aggro'd.

If the Healer ends up getting aggro is it plausable to have them kite all the birds around even far away from the room?

Shouldn't say I can't think of a way; only that the other way I can think of isn't practical or acceptable to you Chordz. Bring 2 healers and try to have 1 kite and the other heal. I'm sure you can see as many problems with that as I do and its also another..."locked" strategy.

the library fight for HM requires the group to not kill a single raven before the boss dies. if I'm not mistaken he pulls all of the birds into the fight by the end of it so you have to tank the boss and 12 ravens by the end of it. He has to die then you have to kill all of the birds to complete the challenge. the strat that has worked for me (yes i am a warden) has been to kite the boss and the ravens while the dps kills the boss or in the case of when memnas and I ran it to have him tank the boss while I kited all the birds. Can't think of an effective way to complete that fight other than that.

If the birds are only activated by players straying too far then you have to engage the boss in a very narrow area of the walkways and keep him there.

School -Confirmed strategy
1 Person grab all aggro and run out of the room and down the stairs kiting while 2 people (1 on each side) distinguishes burning books. Obviously it helps that the person that grabs all aggro has some surviving skills(last stand, fellowships heart, fast runner

). After the books are put out, those 2 people run out and pick off one by one the adds that are still being kited.

Library-Confirmed strategy
1. Activate boss.
2. Kill birds.
3. Kill boss.
NOTE: Dont aggro birds when going to first and second boss. Stay on path.

What is 14 + 2?
